Our Story

Mao Bao means “furry baby” in Mandarin.
“Mao” stands for furry, and “Bao” means baby. A name chosen with love, because that’s exactly how we see our pets. Not just animals, but family.

Mao Bao Pet Shop was created for all the furry babies who make our lives brighter every single day.

At Mao Bao, we believe every pet is family, and family deserves a little extra love. From the moment they walk into our lives, they fill our homes with joy, comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. In return, we want to give them the very best.

And the heart behind Mao Bao has a name, Máni [mau nɪ], pronounced as Mao-ni. 
Máni is not only our beloved dog, but also the ambassador of Mao Bao and the true reason this shop was founded.

Like many pet parents, we wanted the best for him: collars that are comfortable and beautiful, accessories that feel special, and celebrations that make every moment memorable. But we couldn’t always find exactly what we were looking for. So we decided to create it ourselves.

That’s how Mao Bao began, from the love for one furry baby, and the wish to give every pet the same care, style, and happiness.
